My father was at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin MN for over one year and just died. From ensuring medication was taken on time to each and every staff member he was treated with kindness. The facility is very clean and the set up for social interaction is very good. I was called if there was so much as a mark on his hand, the nurses were charting constantly plus he had consistent care. I knew who to call at all times with questions and was kept very well informed if there was the slightest of issue. I spent over one week by my dads side prior to his death and I could hear how they talked to the patients, it was with kindness and interaction and sometimes even hugs. During the dying process they treated my dad with continued care constantly ensuring bedding, room and personal hygiene including shaving did not stop, and they treated him with dignity. This is a very good facility and I experienced the not good prior. They also kept me informed about all appointments and had my dad ready to go when we needed to pick him up. The staff were all wonderful.
