My mother was here a few years ago. There was one doctor who came in for 30 minutes a day for 130 patients. My mom, not an easy person, was very ill and was treated cruelly by the staff. Her regular medications were not given to her right away. The center's idea of a low sodium diet was to not put salt packets on the food tray which was full of extremely salty food. She had back pains so was given tylenol with codeine. The doctor then added a duragesic patch which is not advised for elderly patients. She said that she was on an overdose, I spoke to the nurse who said that they had stopped the tylenol with codeine. THe next day, the pt people were making her get up even though she was drugged up....and the following morning, she died. That same doctor who couldn't be bothered to see patients spent 45 minutes telling me why I shouldn't have an autopsy done. I was too distressed to know how to order one anyway...but I know this shouldn't have happened. I would only send someone here if you want to get rid of him or her......
