The staff must have not been trained very well. Almost every time I would ask them a question, they'd refer me to their boss or someone else. And even tey couldnt help. This provider has no helpful information available online, apart from their address and phone number. They just have a basic listings page. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. The restrooms at this office were disgusting and smelled horrible. I couldn't even go. Obviously nobody cleans them or maintains them at all. They seemed stuck in the past. I was nervous about being exposed to archaic treatment methods. They didn't care about their patients or feel the need to do anything for anyone. After our family member passed they couldn't even be bothered to stop gossiping long enough to give their condolences.

Melrose is not understaffed; the staff just doesn't do their job. Melrose is not a pretty place but when I first visited there I was assured that the staff is caring and the patient comes first. That is not the case. I visit a there almost every day at different times of the day and every time the patient needs something I get responses such as "I'll send an aide;" "That's not my job." "I'll get to it." then they never show up, etc. The patient's room is
messy and not so clean; clothing missing; no fresh drinking water for days; patient incontinent and left with wet clothing on for hours; patient ignored at meal time when he needs help eating, I do not believe the staff has been trained in caring for a patient with acute vascular dementia or alzheimers. When such a patient gets combative (which will happen) the staff gives up and the patient gets ignored. I have discussed these concerns with the staff and there have been no improvements. I hope the patient will be able to move to another home that will give him the care he deserves.
