This company promotes an emotionally abusive work environment for it's employees. There is no positivity in the work place - no appreciation towards the nursing staff. We are expected to do 12 hours worth of work in 8 hours. If the work is not done we are criticized, but if there is overtime we are criticized. Management does not acknowledge staff workloads and dismissing concerns from staff as nonexistent as 'they had it much worse when they worked the floor'. Management works very hard to foster an environment of fear and fear is the primary source of motivation. If a single hole in the MAR is found employees are written up, if a skin sheet is not filled out employees are written up, if a single mistake is made (no matter you inconsequential), you are written up. To many write-up and termination is possible and likely. This keeps employees working at an almost a manic pace in an attempt to be 'perfect' and make 'no mistakes' as they are in fear of being fired. If you conform to this work environment they will write you up but allow you to continue to work there as you have demonstrated your willingness to be mistreated. If you choose not to conform management will single you out and have you terminated.

Not only does management mistreat their employees but also it's residents. Management may say that the residents come first but they are not willing to help in the dining room to ensure resident are served/feed - meaning food often gets cold. They ignore resident call lights or answer them only to pass along the request to over worked staff, and staff to resident ratio is poor. When these issues are address with management they comment only that that other area nursing homes have lower staff ratio's and less management support.

Apparently it's appropriate to ignore staffing needs as long as you can point out someone who ignores it even more. CNA to patient ratio is 1 to 28 on night shift and 1 to15 on days and evening. During the night shift between the hours of 5-7am CNA are expected to get up 7-8 residents and give at least one shower. This leaves approximately 15 min. of care per patient. 15 min to wake a resident, toilet them, perform a partial bed bath, dress them, give oral care, and fix their hair. I cannot accomplish all these things in 15min and I'm able to care for myself. Days and Evening are far worse as 1 CNA is responsible for giving 15 residents the same care as night shift except they also have 3-4 showers, meals, families, and frequent resident requests to contend with. There are simply no pro's that outweighs the con's of this company. All nursing homes put profit first in some form or fashion but the way this company treats it employees and residents it is obvious they are not interest in providing a nice place to work or live.

Don't call this provider if you're in a hurry. Every time I call I have to wait on hold forever. I think I got a gray hair the last time I was waiting. I was a little disappointed at how helpful the staff was when I called with my questions and concerns. They definitely could have been more polite. They consistently dismiss my concerns and accuse me of making problems up. I don't trust them to ever actually look into my concerns and see if they're valid. I was in a lot of pain during my visit that I feel could have definitely been avoided if they had been more careful.
