Kevin Martinez, MD

Dr Martinez has practiced Interventional Pain Management since 2005. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as in Pain Medicine. He completed his residency in PM&R in 2004 at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where he received the Academic Excellence Award. He completed his fellowship at LSUHSC the following year under the tutelage of Dr Charles April.
He has recently moved his practice to Southern Brain and Spine in Metairie, Louisiana.
He relishes the challenge of obtaining an accurate diagnosis and selecting the best available treatments. He aspires to always understand the needs of the patient in front of him.

After my military injury I seen multiple Doctors that just did not seem to concern themselves with helping me. They were quick to put a bandaid on a bullet wound so to speak. I was asked a lot of questions and Dr.Martinez put a lot of symptoms together that I had not thought of over the past three years. He did want to assist with my pain , but ultimately he respected my thoughts and agreed that pain relief is important but finding the cause and treating that is the goal. I'm not sure of his reputation, and I know that I have heard if you want pills doctors will give them to you. However, if you are straight forward and want help solving an issue not just masking... From my first appt this guy seems to care. I will post after my second appt as well. God Bless and good luck. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was easy enough to find. I'll definitely be going back. I didn't have a bad experience.
