I am a Clinical Psychologist with 10+ years of experience. My work is a collaborative process allowing clients to achieve goals that they have set for themselves. Therapy includes changing longstanding counter-productive behavior patterns and reinforcing areas of strength. By doing so, clients can have more rewarding relationships and more fulfilling lives. With client consent, I communicate and collaborate with other professionals involved in their care. I am up to date on the most current treatments for issues such as mood disorders, ADHD, and relationship issues. I encourage the use of physical activity to improve mental health. Each spring, I offer a therapeutic walking group, combining the benefits of moderate exercise with group therapy. People often find it helpful as an adjunct to psychotherapy and/or medication. I administer psychological testing for many purposes, and specialize in testing for admission to independent private schools or GT Programs. I work with children and adults diagnosed with ADHD, including couples therapy (one/both spouse(s) with ADHD), parenting when one has a child with ADHD, and assisting adults with ADHD to function better. Other areas of interest include counseling for individuals and couples dealing with infertility issues, anger management, post-divorce adjustment, co-parenting for divorced individuals, or grief work.
