Sad that people think a Psychiatrist should be their baby sitter. As for the lady with the issues with her meds you should have a primary doctor looking after that not a psychiatrist.I always asked him to look up new meds for me and he always would. He is a great doctor who is very non judgemental and loyal. When most health professionals give up easy he puts effort into the person.A psychiatrist is to help ( YOU) to find yourself. If you are looking for someone to babysit you than go get yourself a counselor who will tell you what you should do and reward you when you do.

While I was seeing him He was nice and laid back but He was also too laid back and you got the impression that in his own way,he didn't care nor did he ever seek out advice from others.and most times He didn't.give me appropriate supervision in dealing with med changes or side affects.I was having high blood sugars from the drugs and He never changed them, even when my gp wanted ro start insulin.I stoped the drugs myself and guess what,I got normal blood surgars again.I've also read some of his articles from medical journals where he talks ablout patients that he knows will die and has no hope with/for and yet he keeps that to himself and goes on treating them..I also have had other phisicians yell at me for tests that they felt I shouls of had before He switched meds and I took the brunt for that. He's getting old and he should retire in my oppinion
