David A. Faris M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has practiced in Bridgeport, West Virginia since 1991. Dr. Faris, a 1975 graduate of Bridgeport High School, received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from West Virginia university in 1979, earned his MD degree from WVU School of Medicine in 1984, completed his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1988, and 1989 he finished his formal ophthalmology training with a fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at Tulane University Medical Center, in New Orleans.
