I saw her expecting to be scheduled for surgery to fix rectal prolapse after a very long wait suffering as I straddled a bulge to walk/couldn't run or jump or pick up my small children. I expected compassion and understanding. I explained all I'd been through and I shed a few tears of frustration and embarrassment. Instead Linda Partoll told me: "I've had 8 other patients in here this morning and none of THEM were crying!" As if there was something wrong with me since I'd cried. And she tried to not talk w/ my husband who came in to speak on my behalf, as she told him: "I've already wasted enough time on your wife" (One brief exam) 3 Other doctors had told me I needed surgery and had sent me to her considering her the UroGyn specialist who could perform the surgery. I was new to WA, knew no other doctors and she gave me no referral, left me to suffer alone. Fortunately, I am very proactive and competent and I found world-renowned surgeon Dr. John Miklos in Atlanta who specializes in female prolaspe surgeries and who spent over 100 minutes on my exam and detailed respectful conversations w/ my husband & me prior to my surgery. (Oddly, Dr. Partoll knows him, as they worked on a paper together, but she never referred me to him....) I had surgery with Dr. Miklos and it changed my life to the tremendous better. I can run, jump, lift, enjoy life in full again. I complained to Spokane Med Board about Partoll and they told me she meets the 'standard of medical care in our community.' This ought to signal other women to FLEE Spokane where Dr. Partoll pretty much is the only UroGyn. Also, Dr. Partoll attempted to scare me by having her lawyer send me a letter telling me they would take all available legal action against me for posting my reviews on-line about her. Call their bluff. If it's true, it's not defamation. If it's clearly opinion, it's not defamation. And pretty much all the 'legal action' they can take is sending you a stupid saber-rattling letter like they did me.
