I was totally new to this country and there were only 3 people I could rely on when I had any health problems. Dr. Vigneshwar was one of them. I choose this Dr. as she is from India too like me, and it's easy to communicate my problems to her. I met her last April for her recommendation for contraceptive and she recommended Marina an Intra Uterine Device ( IUD ) . And after a week her office called me and told me that they contacted my insurance and told me that the device and the procedure was 100% covered by them. In a new few days I went to her office and had it. She asked me to come back for follow up visit as it causes spotting and bleeding for few weeks. In this time gap I received a bill from their office that my insurance will not cover it and I have to pay more than $800 from my pocket. My husband contacted the insurance company and they said they need the pre-approval copy that was sent to Dr. office and they needed at least 3-4 weeks to respond on it. In the mean time I had to make an emergency appointment with her as I was heavily bleeding. My husband took a day off and we drove an hour for the visit and had to wait there for another hour. Then the reception lady told us that I have a pending of over $800 that I need to pay before the visit. My husband explained that he is working with insurance company and they need few more days to get back to us. As we didn't go prepared to pay that amount, there was no way we could pay that on that visit and we explained the same and asked the lady to explain it to Dr. Vigneshwar, as it was her own practice and she could give us more time. The lady came out and informed us that Dr. denied to see me until I pay the total amount. I was in tears as I came here for help as I was heavily bleeding for several days and was so much in pain. My husband was helpless too as he didn't had that amount on his cards. The same evening we had to go to an urgent care for a temporary solution until we find another Dr. who is more compassionate and really mean the 'Hippocratic oath' they took before they started their medical practice... 2 weeks after this incident we received a call from insurance company that our case was reviewed and Dr. Vigneshwar was totally reimbursed.... Please stay away from this non-compassionate and greedy and very unprofessional Dr...
