The office is in an older converted house, so not the most sleek and modern, but adequate. The reason we have gone for so many years is Dr Lagrua himself. He is always very busy because he is popular (for a reason), but he just takes the time to really listen and pay attention to what you say. That alone is unusual for a doctor. Also, he offers options and respects your opinion and choice about how to proceed. I think he likes his job and role as primary family doctor. At least that is the impression I have, and that says something.

I was very much at ease during my initial appointment with Dr. Lagrua about a year back. However, at first glance once coming into the waiting room I did notice the 'age' of the structure and surroundings led to thinking it could use some appearance updates. I felt like a more modern look would really make a difference in my first impression, but the people and service was professional and my personal interactions resolved my concern that it needed to look more modern.

Overall, that first visit proved to me the staff was very caring and tuned into me. This is what made me relax and they were very sympathetic to my situation. In subsequent trips to see my doc I can say the staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a professional appearance.

What I really love is how friendly and intent the doctor and staff are here. I feel welcome whether in person or calling and asking questions or setting appointments. They make a concerted effort to measure up to my needs and requests, so I anticipate continuing with them for the long haul. I will just mention one more observation or behavior that makes me like the practice so well. I'm not one for rushing into action and need time to think things over for myself. I never leave feeling pressured to do something that I don't fully understand or agree with! I trust that if the Doc recommends I need to do (or stop) something he's looked at all angles and is convinced his recommendation will resolve my issue(s). He is very good with details, both listening to gain perspective and in delivering a clear explanation.
