I visited this doctor a week before a long holiday weekend for my first prenatal visit. At the visit he could not find a heart beat and was worried that my baby had passed away. He had me do several blood tests to confirm this. He told me that he would have them rushed and would then call me with or without the results before the holiday weekend. That day came and no call. I went the entire weekend not knowing if I had lost my baby or not. On Monday I got no call from the doctor. I waited until the office had been open for 2 hours before I called them. The doctor was too busy to be bothered so his less than tactful assistant broke the bad news to me in a very blunt manner. She then scheduled an appointment for me for the end of that day. I showed up for my appointment and found that the doctor was no longer available. I got no assistance or help from anyone just some snarky comments from the receptionist who scheduled me for a week out. I of course miscarried this baby, but was given no follow up instructions or help. He just told me to go home and take lots of ibuprofen unless we decided to do the procedure. One year later I had another miscarriage. I of course used another doctor. But this doctor found out the reason for both miscarriages. I had type 2 diabetes. He was very surprised and displeased that my first doctor did not find this out when had he run multiple blood tests. Dr. Yamashiro was supposed to test me for this and thyroid problems to find out why I miscarried. But Dr. Yamashiro just brushed it off as "this happens to most women". Just because it happens to many (not necessarily most) women, doesn't mean he didn't need to find out why. I went for a year with undiagnosed untreated diabetes and because of this I lost another baby. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, even my worst enemy! DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE DOCTOR!
