I no longer take my son to the Medical and Surgical Clinic and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. He NEVER got to see Dr Holland and each time I took him they told me he had to see a NP (and it was a different one each time) or another Dr instead. The last time I called to get an appointment for my son, I requested another Dr because my son remained ill due to a recurrent cough, and I wanted an MD to see him instead of a NP, the receptionist was Rude and told me that I cannot switch Dr's - I told her "Yes I can and I will" and hung up on her. He is currently seeing a Doctor, not their NP or another Dr that is available. I think this office needs to re-evaluate their office procedures and determine if they have too many patient's per MD. I also have to say that due to the fact my son never consistantly seen the same Dr he was misdiagnosed. I feel that he had to suffer due to their incompetence. There are great Dr's out there and I am glad I finally found one.

Some of the nurses at the pediatrics office were downright rude (on the phone and in person), but I can get past that. We weren't able to see or even talk with Dr. Holland our first few visits (she had a legitimate reason for not being available the first time). We finally asked if we could just switch to a doctor who would be available, since we hadn't really been seen by any doctors at the practice (my child is only a few months old). We were told absolutely not. So, after a trip to the emergency room, we were finally sent to see Dr. Holland.

She treated me like I was an absolute idiot. She was snippy, refused to answer my questions and laughed at me at least twice. My husband, who is much less sensitive than I am, agreed that we could absolutely not our child back to see her.

Bottom line: This clinic has a LOT of patients, many of them those who were sent there or had to pick a doctor in a hurry. They treat everyone like poorly educated children and clearly look down upon their patients. Because of the constant influx of patients from the hospital their office is connected to, they don't need your business, and they simply don't seem to care whether they have it.

Don't go. When medical professionals get too busy, feel too superior and stop caring about doing a good job, it's a danger for you to be in their care.
