They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods. They didn't mention anything about risks or benefits. I felt really rushed like they just wanted to get me out of there.

Dr. Murphy pushed me to induce, threatening that my baby would be too big and I would have to have a c-section, he used my fear of having a c-section to convince me. he also told me that he was going on vacation and wanted to deliver my baby, so I suspect it was more for his own convenience.

In the delivery room, my baby went from head down to head up, the doctor made NO attempts to let me wait, or try to turn the baby. he said immediately would have to do a c-section, my water hadn't even broke yet and I have had a vaginal birth before with no problems, I was only 4 centimeters dilated, in fact when they took the meds off me, my contractions had already stopped.

Dr, Murphy took my husband out of the room AWAY from me, like I was some kind of hysterical idiot woman who didn't know her own body. And told my husband that the baby could die, if they didn't do the c-section. he gave NO reasons why or how, but my husband was so scared. I felt like I was being ganged up on. I was forced into a c-section that I didn't want, because the Dr said that the reason why she went head up was because the "baby's head was too big to fir out of my pelvis" he even tried to show me that on the ultrasound right then. Which of course didn't make sense to me, because I have some seriously wide hips. I didn't trust him. But husband was crying, and afraid.

During the c-section the Dr was listening to journey and singing along. My husband told him "Could you take this a little more seriously?"

Then something went wrong, because he started having trouble. It took over an hour for my surgery when it usually takes 30 min. My recovery was terrible and Dr Murphy never even came back to see me or the baby, he left it to someone else I never met. I guess he had to hurry up and start his vacation.

When I got home, I compared the birth fact sheets of my son to my daughter's. My son had a big head, which is what I kept saying during the whole thing, he fit out with no problem. According to the fact sheet, his head was 15 cm. My daughter's was only 10cm.

I was so furious, I didn't even go back to him for my postpartum visit. I saw another OB.

He lied to me. His work was lazy, sloppy and unprofessional, and I hope he doesn't get away with this again.
