My boyfriend sees a regular Urologist at this same clinic. When he had an emergency situation last night and needed to speak with someone in this office immediately, we had to deal with the On-Call doctor.

That night, Dr. Claude Workman was the on-call doctor. First of all it took him an hour to contact us back after the answering service contacted him THREE separate times.
When he finally did call, every frustration he must have had about being "bothered" on a Sunday evening while on-call came out on us.

His questions were short, rude, and no answer would satisfy him. In short, he didn't care. He wasn't helpful, and I haven't even gotten to the appalling part, yet.

About 3 minutes in to the conversation, he continued to say "Why are you wasting my time? Stop wasting my time."

My boyfriend was in SEVERE bladder pain. He's been living with this condition for almost 12 years, now.. and knows that every time it happens he doesn't need to rush to the ER. This particular night he needed a specialists help. Dr. Workman's repeated attempts to get us off the phone by stating we were wasting his time ended with him saying, and I quote:

"Then why the f*ck did you not go to the Emergency Room?" And he promptly hung up on this patient...

I am sick to my stomach about being treated this way and it didn't even happen to me, directly. But it did happen to someone I care about.

If you want a Doctor who behaves like he is above the common citizen because he gets to put the M.D. title after his name, then go see Dr. Workman. If you're looking for a concerned MD who is ready to tend to your needs, I recommend looking elsewhere. Remember, it is YOUR health.
