Prior to appointment with Dr. Rowland I was instructed to bring a disk of the MRI of my back. Dr. Rowland refused to even look at MRI disk and he was also not interested in EMG test results claiming EMG tests are worthless. I told him I wanted to know what is wrong with me. Dr. Rowland said it is not his job to tell me what is wrong with me but to tell my primary care physician if I'm a candidate for surgery. He said he was going to tell my ddoctor I was not a candidate for surgery. IF Dr. Rowland had looked at the MRI disk and EMG test results I would have been pleased to hear that. However, Dr. Rowland did not look at the MRI disk HE asked for and belittled the EMG test results he also did not see, how can he know if I'm a candidate for surgery or not? Isn't it common sense that a doctor needs to know what is wrong with a patient before deciding if treatment is needed? I was stunned at his rudeness and response. I was dismissed, and he was nasty, so I put the MRI disk and EMG test results in my purse and left his office. My husband, who was two hallways down in the lobby could hear Dr. Rowland's loud, condescending, and rude comments. Dr. Rowland then sent me a bill for doing nothing. I paid the bill simply to protect my credit.
