The worst bed side manners I have seen

I was present at my sons appointment who is 24 years old. The doctor was treating him poorly and talking to us like we are idiots. He wanted to order an MRI for my son and I asked for the referral to be sent to the place that our insurance covers better, that set him off on fire and went off talking to me in very unprofessional tone of voice and then left the office without telling us if he is coming back. My son got upset the way Dr spoke to us and he decided go leave the office. In the hallway there was a doctor on his way back to the office and asking sarcastically if my son is going to use a bathroom. My son told him that he is leaving and he is not appreciative his tone of voice talking to us especially the way Dr spoke to me. The doctor again said sarcastically :Ok have a good day". Then I told him that he is very rude. He waved again and said "mam you are dismissed". We requested to see a manager so we can make a complaint and we did. Dr Phillips is some of those people that gives bad names to the hospitals and people that are in such an honorable field. But I hope all patients are familiar with their rights and that they always have someone to go to and report inappropriate behavior and bad bed side manners of personnel like Dr Phillips is.

We have used one of the Surgeons in the past for several of our children. Dr. Smith, and he was wonderful with our kids, One got a staff infection. Other than that one incidence there were no other complications. with the other two. Recently needed and ENT for my husband after he suffered a Massive Heart attack, coma, vegetative State, anoxic brain injury and swallowing complications,so we returned to them with his care. The staff is VERY Unprofessional , they do not return your phone calls even though they are very important. My husband now has cancer. All of this in a 3 month period- So They (the Assistant) made an appt. for us to come in to discuss the biopsy, misunderstanding Dr. Phillips instructions. He wanted her to schedule the biopsy with an Endocranologist- So We came in. to see Dr. Phillips , he went into a rage, that we were just charging in there whenever we wanted, yelling and screaming he was going to drop my husband as a patient he had been up all night. I had never seen such a sight, nor had we ever been treated that way by anyone. My husband who has 6 months or less to live got up to leave. And I understand why his staff would be afraid to admit a mistake- but I made them listen. When he did, and he understood, that I didn't want to be there wasting our time for no reason, ect... He apologized over and over. But to me the damage was done. How could you ever treat a patient in that manner?? Ever?? I totally understand why his staff is scared to own up to their mistakes, with that temper they probably would lose their jobs, but they must make quite a few, and should stand up and own them when they do. The whole experience was the most horrible of my 50 years. It doesn't matter what alias I use, they will know who we are-I think, I have just read a few reviews like ours. Kelly and Mack
