It seemed like they were trying to rush my appointment and were annoyed to be helping me. It was obvious that they wanted to be somewhere else. My appointment felt a little rushed. I understand that they are busy, but I would have liked a little more time. They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency. I was forced to call the emergency room in the middle of the night and was really scared. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. They consistently dismiss my concerns and accuse me of making problems up. I don't trust them to ever actually look into my concerns and see if they're valid. Besides admin staff, the medical staff had very limited hours. Some doctor's were there for as little as four hours week. No privacy, could hear counseling sessions of other people. People were high and out of it in the waiting area. Wanted to control your meds and held them in their possession. Had a dog wondering around the office. True story, a coffee spilled on the table in IOP session and counselor provided dirty (dirty from her dog urinating on it in her office) newspaper to clean it up. All she could say was sorry. Money grap place................

I came here to detox from opiates using suboxone. I was told I had to be 48 hours into withdrawal before beginning my induction, which is "unrealistic" to say the least, as anyone with experience treating opiate addiction would know. I felt rather than being treated with care, I was treated as a "bad person" who needed to be constantly confronted and criticized. I guess the prevailing, "cutting edge" philosophhy some of these doctors are working with now has something to with the idea that, "an addicted persons brain ceases to be able to make sensible life decisions. therefore, they need constant harassment and micromanagement in order to "create new pathways in the brain" in order to think on their own again. whatever happened to "if you want to do the work to stay clean, you will! If you wanna continue to use, no treatment will work for you!" I guess it;s in the best interest of a "for profit" recovery center to sell desperate addicts family members the pipedream that, "we're the ones who've REALLY figured out how to treat this addiction thing! Thats why we charge twice as much as everyone else in the state!". "Those other places are just prescribing meds, we offer the whole package!"...Dr. Femino is a genius! If you want to pay more for an invasive, unpleasant, overpriced treatment exerience, facilitated by credentialled "addiction experts" who think theyre superior to all the rest of their colleagues in the state, try meadows edge! If you wanna save the money, the driving time and the hassle, go to just about anyone else!
