This should not be your first choice for a doctor in Johnstown. I could overlook the fact that he is impossible to understand (it's very uncomfortable) if he had any other redeeming qualities but I could not find any. I am the type of person who realizes that doctors are incredibly busy and have a very difficult job to do - I do not take that lightly and I do not expect to find miracles when I go to one. I do, however, expect to feel like I can trust the doctor to help me make good decisions about my mental health care and I could NOT trust Dr. Parekh to help me do that.

Dr. Parekh works with a nurse practitioner to manage his patients medication and both of these people gave me completely opposite advice. They also had be prescribed to medications that when combined, can GREATLY increase your risk for experiencing serotonin syndrome and should not be taken together. This doctor was also really uninformed about weighing the risks vs. benefits of medication and breastfeeding. This guy just didn't get it.

Nurse Patti who works at ACRP is great and she seems to do her best to help practice damage control with what everyone else around her is doing. She was the only saving grace in that place when it came to med management.
