Wonderful caring Dr and staff. Love and miss them all as I moved to NY.

I have been going to Dr.Zalatimo for 8 years and highly recommend him. He is very thorough in his examinations and you can't help but have confidence that he absolutely knows what he is doing. He has provided all OB care for both of my pregnancies and likely saved my 1st born from a tragic problem by identifying the fact that at 36 weeks I had no amniotic fluid left to protect the baby. He sent me to a specialist and they decided to do an emergency c-section. My son ended up in the NICU for two weeks but is happy and healthy today. Had Dr.Z not done ultrasounds in the office at each visit, this very likely would not have been noticed, as I had no other symptoms or indications of a problem going into his office that day.
His staff is fantastic. The staff has remained exactly the same in all the time I have been going there, which tells me they are happy working there because there has been zero turn over. They remember me when I come in and are just great people who know all the details of their patients.
The only things you should be aware of going in is that you will have a long wait on the day of your appointment, especially if your appointment is late morning or late afternoon. I have waited over an hour to see him, but I feel it is worth every minute of the wait time. I just bring a book, watch TV in the waiting area and plan it into my day.
The other thing you should know is that he is out of the country from the end of June to the beginning of August. There are other doctors to fill in if you need to be seen or if you are pregnant, but I have never had this be an issue for me. Otherwise, he is the only doctor at the practice, so you see him every time and you know he is the one who is going to be delivering your baby.
For regular preventative care or other issues with the reproductive tract, I have seen him for many issues and I have peace of mind knowing that he is very conservative in his practices and doesn't take chances. He is pro-active and makes every patient feel like they are a priority. I strongly recommend him.
