Education Dr. Wendel joined the Clinic in 2002. He earned his medical degree at Oregon Health Sciences Univ. in Portland and completed a residency at Univ. of Wyoming Family Practice, where he served as chief resident during the final year. He has earned numerous honors and distinctions in his medical and teaching career including the Lewis and Ruth Carpenter Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence and multiple Mentorship Awards at Oregon Health & Science Univ.. Dr. Wendel also earned recognition as the Oregon Primary Care Association Outstanding Physician for 2001. He is board certified in Family Practice. Special interests include back country and cross country skiing, canoeing and hunting.
