Dr. Vinekar is a very incompetent psychiatrist. When I came in to see him, he yelled at me and my family. He was very rude, and dodged most all of the questions I had. I initially thought maybe he was having a bad day, but when I returned to see him again he was still very unkind. He prescribed medication to me without getting a thorough history. The result was that I had to go the emergency room for a severe drug interaction. The ER physician was very surprised Dr. Vinekar had recklessly prescribed that medication. I have had a total of three visits with Dr. Vinekar, and each one left me more confused and upset than when I came in. I spoke to his office staff, and they too seem to frequently suffer abuses from him. Rudeness is a quality which is not very befitting for a psychiatrist. Do yourself a favor and find a better one.
