The office staff was helpful and cheery, they set my appointment quickly. My appt. was for 2 pm. At about 2:30 i was brought back to the room where the nurse asked me all the usual questions. I was asked to change and waited for the doctor until about 3:20. This was rude, in my opinion. When the doctor came in she asked all the same questions as the nurse, as if she had not looked over the chart at all. She also seemed unconcerned with any of my answers. She was not helpful when i told her i would like to discuss birth control methods. At the end of the appt, she was putting in some information about getting me a prescription for birth control and her compiter died. At this point she just ran out of the room and left me there. At the front desk I waited for another 20 minutes because they could not find her to clarify what birth control she would be giving me and if i was to get a sample. The worst part of my experience is that i dont have insurance. They charged me 195$ for an annual exam, which i thought was expensive, but dealt with it because it is a once a year thing. I came to find out that the office charges insurance companies around 100$, 70$ or so of which usually gets paid. This made me feel cheated and taken advantage of. Yesterday i also received a bill from a lab in kansas. The office had sent my sample for some lab tests that i neither knew about nor authorized. This made me feel completely used for money. She obviously is only here to get as much money out of you as possible. I paid up front, no payment plan, no filing insurance, less work for her and her office staff, i should have been given a discount. At the very least i should not have been price gouged and charged the same as the insurance companies, and i definitely should not be responsible for lab work that i didnt know about nor authorized. I am so disappointed in this office and doctor. I will never go back.
