After losing my glasses (which were several years old), I thought I'd patronize my wife's ophthalmologist... she and her mom had been very happy with him.

The appointment was set for 9:30 AM.

I arrived a bit early to fill out paperwork. That didn't matter - he didn't see me until after 10:30!

(I can understand how some Doctors who don't take control of their office schedule get delayed later in day... but first thing in the morning?)

It was my first time meeting him - and I guess I didn't know what to expect. He was abrupt, curt and acted as if I was imposing on him.

After dilation, I was having trouble keeping my eyes open for one of the exams... let alone focusing on the wall. I was reprimanded like a little child for not following directions.

To top things off, he said I didn't need glasses! "See me again in two years - and we'll see how your eyes are then..."

I guess if it were up to him, the blurriness would be something I had to live with.

I won't go back - and would caution any other new patients to reconsider!
