Money talks, Medicaid walks! I was a patient of Dr. Ahrens for several years. I moved out of state for 3 years. When I came back to Toledo I was unemployed and now had Medicaid. Prior to that I had private Insurance. She has all my Medical history and is one of the Paramount Advantage Providers in the Provider book I was given. I called her appointment line and was told they would have to ask the Doctor if she would be willing to accept me as a new patient. I explained I needed to get my Medications refilled. It took them over a week to call me back. I got a call from their office today that she will not be taking me as a new patient Ok I am a bit confused. I am not a new patient. I have new Insurance that she does not want to take because it does not pay her enough. So Dr Arhren thanks for showing your loyalty to a patient who you were more then happy to accept when I had private Insurance. And oh, by the way. I got a job and will now have Aetna Private Insurance and will find a better Doctor who will accept my Private Insurance. Bye Bye Dr. Ahrens.
