It has been a few years since David put us to sleep. In 1962 he tried out for the Notre Dame Basketball team as a walk on. ND made a mistake in not picking him up. A good number of his classmates, including those selected, thought he would have been the leading candidate for being on that team. As it was, he probably just put to sleep all the intramural teams. One should have found opportunity to again express this opinion but better late than never. His family should know that he was that good.
