This doctor is not only a skilled plastic surgeon, he is a genuine, kind spirited individual with a staff of compassionate helpful people who match his patient centered care and concern. He was a moment from leaving the hospital parking lot (9pm on July 3, 2004) when I arrived with my daughter-bitten in the face by a dog and struggling to find a surgeon on a borrowed cell phone. She was in bad shape and terrified. He stopped to introduce himself and asked "can I help?" He added "if you have a doctor and are just waiting that's fine, but you sounded distressed and I want to make sure your daughter has care." I nearly cried with relief. An angel sent him. Later I felt he was the angel. He calmed my child and me and restored her face. (We stopped counting after 27 stitches layers deep.) She is a redhead with lovely transparent skin--I held no hope that she would look the same. Now she is 19, in nursing school and a part time actress. He publicity shots are nothing short of super model perfect! People are shocked she had sustained such an injury. As a busy nursing student-she rarely wears makeup--and still no one knows!

We had been sent to the wrong hospital when he found us and my insurance wanted to charge. My parents came with me to the office appointments to pay for anything we needed. His staff (without us even asking!) advocated with the insurance company explaining the emergency, and why my child (who was in shock) needed care immediately and amazed us by handing my parents their check back and reporting the the insurance company understood once it was explained and covered it.

About a month later that child, myself and my eldest daughter were hit by a drunk driver! My eldest nearly died and was taken to a trauma center. She had scarring and we returned to our angel. He provided an amazing compression tubing for her arm that reduced the scarring by 2/3! The surgeon associated with the trauma center where she was initially taken by ambulance was amazed.

This man is a skilled plastic surgeon. He has warmth and compassion for his patients that calms them and helps them to learn about their procedures and conditions without fear and he has a heart of kindness which makes him go the extra mile. In 2006, I became a Social Worker in a medical setting and I give his name to everyone who has needs or questions. I am secure that they will have the same stellar treatment my family received. My parents and extended family do the same. We would have no other plastic surgeon since meeting Doctor Fuentes.
