Highly recommend Dr. Kazim. I visited Dr.Kazim because, as a result of Graves' disease, I developed vertical and horizontal double vision. Dr. Kazim was supportive and right on with his advise of coping with the double vision until my eyes stabilized enough to take the next step of a surgical procedure. Not only is he a skilled physician, he is so easy to talk to. He treats patients with empathy, has a good sense of humor and does not rush you out of his office. Answers all questions and tells you if he doesn't know the answer but follows up with the answer. This is soooo important when you are feeling depressed and frightened about something as important as your vision.
He referred me to Sarah Shippman (orthoptics) for corrective prisms.
Ms. Shippman communicated with Dr. Kazim, sending reports to him after each visit to her office. He had these reports each time I returned to him for a recheck on the progression of my double vision.
Sarah Shippman is also someone I highly recommend. She worked with me as my prism prescriptions changed through the 1 1/2 years prior to surgery. The double vision finally stabilized to the point that I did not need fiurther changes in my prism prescription. I had the choice of wearing the prisms or having the surgical procedure. I chose the surgery because I did not want to depend on wearing glasses from the moment I woke up to enable me to not have double vision.
I am now about 12 weeks post surgical and my double vision is remedied. Cannot tell you enough how pleased I am.

I had to wait for a little while after I arrived for my appointment, but I've had to wait longer at other places. From time to time, I have been left alone in an examination room, but it has never bothered me. Dr. Kazim is an extraordinarily good doctor and I recognize that he is very much in demand. I have seen no evidence that he overbooks. He and his staff run a very tight ship. His attention to detail account in part for why he is a world-class diagnostician. and surgeon. He is extremely careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about his making a mistake or forgetting something. He is completely committed to finding the best solution. Dr. Kazim is simply the best in his field. He was able to make a correct diagnosis after four other well-trained and experienced opthalmologists failed. Anyone would be fortunate to have him as his doctor.
