Regional Orthopedics was founded in 1999. Over the past 11 years, Regional Orthopedics has been a leader in the community, making new technology rapidly available to its clients.

Through its academic affiliation with the New York University School of Medicine and the Hospital for Joint Diseases, as well as through maintaining a schedule that includes frequent participation in national conferences and visitation to other medical centers for the purpose of observation and learning, Regional Orthopedics is able to introduce new procedures that are not generally available in the local community.

Regional Orthopedics performs a broad range of technically advanced procedures including but not limited to such interventions as all arthroscopic shoulder surgery, fracture care and reconstruction, computer navigated minimally invasive total hip replacement utilizing ceramic bearings, hip arthroscopy with labrum repair and decompression, knee arthroscopy with unifocal and bifocal knee resurfacing, cartilage transplantation and restoration, ‘all inside’ ACL reconstruction using hamstring autograft, complex deformity correction, partial knee replacement, computer navigated minimally invasive muscle sparing total knee replacement etc. (see services). Regional Orthopedics began in 2004 as one of the very first medical practices in the tri-state area to utilize a paperless system of electronic medical record keeping. This method of practice improves the efficiency and accuracy of care and also secures and maintains the privacy of your health care record. This also allows such conveniences as registration done online prior to your visit , communicating with the practice via email, submitting forms as attachments to be filled out by our health care professionals as well as many other conveniences.

Working for the postal services I am always on my feet walking, bending and just moving in finishing my daily functions.  When my right knee started to hurt while walking and at resting this was of great concern for me.  A friend at work recommended Dr Montalbano after conservative measures failed.  No one likes surgery but working with Dr Montalbano and his staff my question, fears and concerns were all addressed in a professional, courtious and informative matter.  I went into my surgical procedure well informed and assured that everything was going to be alright.  He not only calmed me but also my wife was at ease.   I will recommend  Dr Montalbano to any and everyone with an orthopedic problem.  It has been my pleasure having Regional Orthopedic handling my case.  I would like to thank Dr Montalbano and his staff for all their help during my time of need.

I want to tell you that in all my 67 years I have never met a doctor who care about his patients like you do.  You gave me hope for the future even if I am old.  Your staff is without a doubt the best.  Deborah Curatolo is so efficient and very caring.  Dr. Montalbano GOD BLESS YOU.  You are in my prayers every night.
