If only I could give negative stars.

I contacted Dr. Blatt's Eastside Gynecology because I needed to have a serious procedure done. I didn't yet have an OB GYN in the city, so did a few searches. Called a few places, but ultimately I felt the most comfortable with the people who were able to talk me through the options on the phone. They told me the took my insurance too, although were unsure of the exact coverage, but said the procedure without insurance would cost ~ $575.

Thats where the postive experience ends. On the day of surgery, I had to fill out pages of paperwork with redundant information - super annoying, but fine okay. THEN, the last page consists of questions regarding my confidence and whether I have any issues due to how I see my woman parts; SERIOUSLY?? They are trying to upsell me on plastic surgery when I'm there for a serious procedure??

After the surgery, I am dumped into a waiting room with 6 other women, feeling a bit like an instrument in a factory. 4 hours later, though the actual procedure took minutes, I am finally out of that place, thinking I am a free woman and don't ever have to look back.

WRONG. 1 month later I receive the bill. For $23,000. That is not a typo - twenty-three thousand dollars. For a procedure they quoted me at $575 without insurance. My insurance company will cover 70% because they are out of network (even though the clinic explicitly said they accept my insurance) but how does my having insurance increase the price of the procedure by 40X?

I am fighting this. These people practice medical billing fraud, and are forcing me to relive my nightmare experience every time I have to think about and deal with this. Stay far far away. I'm convinced any positive reviews and testimonials that have been posted are fake

Not at all, they had plenty of staff members to help me whenever I needed assistance

No, if they had music on it was very soothing
