Dr. Fenstermaker operated on my husband recently, a time and situation that was very difficult for us both. We met with Dr. Fenstermaker in Roswell Park, where he reviewed the diagnosis and proposed treatment with us,and answered all questions posed. He took the time with us to discuss our concerns, explain the surgery and all that was involved. We found him to be very approachable, personable, knowledgeable, and above all, professional. he took as long as it took to put us at ease, which I will admit was not an easy job.

The surgery itself was successful. Dr. Fenstermaker is a remarkably skilled, thorough surgeon. There were no complications, and the entire tumour was able to be removed. He talked us through the entire process. After the surgery he came to me in the waiting room to explain how the surgery had gone. he took the time to explain everything that had occurred. The surgery was highly specialized, requiring a great deal of technical skill. However there was much more evident here: Dr. Fenstermaker is highly invested in his work and incredibly dedicated.

During the post surgical period Dr. Fenstermaker made himself available to both myself and my husband to discuss pathology reports, further treatments, etc., all on a very personal and supportive level. It was a very trying time for us, but Dr. Fenstermaker went the extra mile to attempt to make it a little more tolerable. He succeeded.

We can only be thankful that we found Dr. Fenstermaker and his team when we needed them most. I would highly recommend Dr. Fenstermaker and his team to anyone needing advice and/or surgery for brain tumours. He works at one of the world's leading cancer institutes, has the latest technology available to him, and is available to explain procedures and treatments when needed. His skill is unsurpassed in the field of neurosurgery. I'm a physician, I know what I'm talking about.
