Dr Allen is knowledgeable and compassionate and replies promptly to e mails. Her response to symptoms is not to rush to RX pad and she is open to alternative approaches.

Can be difficult at times, however in getting through via phone and wait time, even when booked for a first appointment, can seem overly long

I started as a patient here about a decade ago and was fairly happy with the practice at that time. Sadly, as the years have gone by, my satisfaction continues to decline with their patient care. I can only describe it as an impersonal assembly line now, rushing people through without truly listening or treating them with any depth or concern. I cannot even recall the last time I saw Dr Judith Allen to the point I could not even tell you what she looks like; it is always her PA Joanne, who also now increasingly seems to rush patients through and readily prescribe something without really listening. They are eager to prescribe drugs to treat symptoms without looking in depth at the cause of the problem. For example, I was having severe dry mouth for a couple months at one point, and when I brought it up, Joanne immediately wanted to just give me a prescription to treat dry mouth etc. I didn't just want drugs for the symptom; I wanted to know WHY I was having dry mouth so i could eliminate or treat the CAUSE. I declined the medicine, left frustrated, and the dry mouth eventually went away on it's own. I have put it off as long as possible but unfortunately after my last visit I feel it's time to find a better physician who will view me as more than another cash cow.
