There are many insurances they do not take, so I had to pay out of pocket. This doctor requires very frequent visits, often just as follow-ups, so in addition to the high cost of the office visit, I had to frequently take time off from work to go to appointments only to have them tell me it's status quo and to come back again in x number of weeks. That got expensive very quickly, and if you can go as often as they want you to, they scold you.
I also found some "shady" practices with prescriptions for injections. They would use the medication they had and then have me fill a prescription (through my prescription plan) for that medication and bring in the vial for them to use on another patient. I found this a bit questionable, to say the least. There is one woman in their office staff who is miserable to deal with - very abrasive. Good luck if you go there. Even though YOU are the customer, they make it pretty clear that you have to do what they "require" or else. They seem to care more about the payments and appointment frequency than they do about the patient's circumstances.

It is easy to get an appointment if you are at the office and making a follow-up appointment. If you call the office to make an appointment, you are probably going to have to wait at least a few weeks to get in. The doctor's wife works in the office and is lovely to speak with. The other woman in the office has always been rather snippy. The doctor in the office is outstanding and has always made me feel like he truly cared. He has even gone so far as to call me at home in the evening if I had questions or concerns. He seems to be very interested in keeping up with the latest updates regarding fibromyalgia and is always willing to explain and discuss my situation with me as much as I need.
