I met with Dr. Klein after having some stomach issues. His office calls you right after to make the appointment to tell you that you have a copay and that they only accept cash. They make that call before every appointment. He immediately recommended an endoscopy and colonoscopy at the first appointment. When I expressed concern that I didn't have extra money to pay out of pocket costs for any procedures, his assistant told me "don't worry about it. You're insurance covers it. If you receive any bills just bring them to us and we'll take care of it." A few weeks later, no diagnose other than "everything looks good and make sure you eat healthy," I'm still having the same issues and I've just received my third bill in a week for $1,000 that my insurance didn't cover. The office doesn't even send bills. They send Chase Quickpay notifications labeled "This is your deductible. Please pay ASAP." Naturally I called Dr. Klein when the third bill in four days came in the mail and he immediately struck an attitude with me telling me it's not his office's fault, they didn't know and that he doesn't work for free. He even had the audacity to chide me for killing him on the number provided on the bill after 7pm. Apparently it's his cell number. Mr. Klein and his team seem to care about one thing - collecting money from you. If money isn't an issue, he's a friendly guy before he presents you with the bill. I would however anticipate waiting at least an hour from your original appointment time to be seen. Enjoy the candies next to the receptionists desk. As far as I know you won't receive a bill for them.

I called asking the receptionist if she took medicaid because I've been to the ER twice already and have been told I need to go see a Gastroenterologist, no one will BUT she said it was fine and and i made sure and she set me up with an appointment. The office is in the city so to go there was hard in general considering I'm from queens and my husband had to stand outside with the car because of no parking unless we pay $12 every half an hour (I know that's the city but still). When I walked inside the receptionist asked for my insurance card and once she saw it she threw it back and told me I cant have an appointment here because I have medicaid and told me that I said "medicare" on the phone which I obviously didn't make that mistake considering that's the whole reason I went there. Both receptionists fought with me how they wouldn't let me get seen no matter what, trying to just hide their mistake, and asked me why I even have medicaid because it does nothing which is very uncalled for. The doctor came out because he heard the commotion and just told me i had to go to the ER for help because that's the only place that will help me. Pretty much laughed in my face and just said it was a simple mistake and telling me to leave. I even said i cant believe a doctor is telling me this because he was even worse then what I'm making him sound. So they told me to leave. I cant believe some place would turn down someone that obviously needed help and i told them I would pay them cash. This doctor was by far the worst doctor I've ever been in contact with. He doesn't care about anyone let alone his patients. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!
