I've been thinking of Dr. Model as my life gets harder and harder. Unfortunately, I blame having to live with a brain tumor on him. He was my doctor from the time I was 12 until I was 27. I complained of "sharp, shooting pains" in my left temple that would occur 5 to 15 times a day. He never sent me for any tests and told me the pains were due to having a pinched nerve and sent me to a chiropractor. The pains lessened and so I thought he was right. I then went blind in one eye a year and a half later which thankfully led to my diagnosis of a pituitary tumor. It was too big to fully remove and has been growing so long that it calcified and adhered to my carotid artery and my hypothalamus. Along with being blind In one eye, having 3 brain surgeries, no hormone function, never able to have kids and a huge lifestyle change with all the medicine I require to sustain my life...I'm pissed off at him! I hear rumors that he got a stipend for NOT sending patients for expensive tests such as MRIs! I am also wondering if he is really a licensed gynecologist. He was the first one to ever give me a gyno exam at the age of 17. It was only him and I in the room and it was just extremely bazaar. I was so uncomfortable! I feel this man has ruined my life and has no remorse. I would watch out for these Drs with an overly generous bed side manner. This man definitely should not be able to practice medicine anywhere, EVER!
