Dr. Harmady was the pediatrician for my two children. She was, for the most part, good with my one child who suffers from a rare medical condition. Dr. Harmady was supportive and tried to get the support services that my child and our family needed. However, Dr. Harmady overidentified, even infantilized this child. Dr. Harmady was less than stellar with our other child, a typically developing healthy one. She was dismissive of this child's fear of some medical procedures, such as my child's fear of needles, going so far as to "roll her eyes" in disgust at my child's fears. At times, she crossed the line with family involvement, and she was in error, as well. Overall, our experience was that Dr. Harmady was mostly competent for our compromised child, but less than supportive and good for our healthy child. I hope that she and her practice are doing well.
