My name is Elizabeth Vega .
After being told that I would need to undergo hip replacement surgery by two other doctors, Dr. Holden came to my rescue. Not only did he reassure me that I was going to be ok, he assured me that I was going to do so without the need for surgery of any sort. I had previously visited numerous health professionals in search for an answer that didn’t leave me unsure, uneasy or in distress, Dr. Holden was the first to make this a reality as he provided me with the comfort I needed at the time. What was mistaken by three doctors previously as a need for hip replacement turned out to be something that was curable, without surgery, something called “transient osteoporosis”. There is a reason I refer to him as my angel, after all, he salvaged my happiness by correcting the previous misdiagnosis right when I was about to give up hope. My status went from a pre-surgery patient to a patient who just needed to let their body heal in a 3 month timespan on its own. Needless to say, 3 months later I was back at work and walking without a hint of pain in sight, all thanks to Dr. Holden. More recently, my husband had to undergo surgery in his arm under Dr. Holden’s care and was back at the gym lifting shortly after. Not only is he very well versed in all of the extensive types of orthopedic ailments, but he is a true people person who takes the time to fight for the patient and their wellbeing. For this reason, I am forever grateful for having found Dr. Douglas Holden.
