I was given a brief greeting when I walked through the door, but no one made any sort of effort to help me. I felt ignored. I had a very bad experience with this office!I had attempted to make an apt with Dr. Ryan for 8months now,and just had to cancel. I had gone to her in 2006 and feel she was sensitive to my needs.I have had major health issues in the past 3yrs. including having my thyroid removed and damaged parathyroid. First of all her receptionists are the most cynical ,rude and down right abusive I have EVER encountered in all my 57 yrs. Again I have had major health issues and physically could not work at my job anymore.I had no choice but to receive Medicare until I can hopefully return to work.I also have Medicaid that will pay whatever Medicare sdoes not.Her staff were short and rude when I made the appt. the first time I called they just flat out said"we do not take medicare" I told my G.P. this and he said "they must". I finally got an apt, for EIGHT MONTHS LATER! In that eight month wait I had called and aslked if I needed a referrel,they said yes.My Dr. told me you do not need one for Medicare! I went for my apt so happy to finally be looked at by a Dr. I HAD felt comfortable with and respected in the area.I went in and the receptionist ignored me at the window,I stood there feeling foolish and when she finally acknowledged m it was beyond snippy and cold.She said "where's your referral ?" MY DR> SAID I D NOT NEED ONE "yes you do,we cannot see you without one!"BUT MEDICARE DOES NOT REQUIRE ONE "Have a seat"A woman come out and called my name ,she said"we really do not LIKE to accept Medicare patients because they send you the check so if you want the doctor to see you today you have to pay up front and medicare will send you a check" YOU MEAN SHE WILL NOT SEE ME UNLES I PAY TODAY

Not receptive to my interest in/ wish to use Armour thyroid. Still thinks it's an unreliable medication and not open to discussing it.
