I made an appointment for Dr Jones to treat my 6 year old child and after waiting 1 1/2 hours he came in and said he would refuse to treat her because we were "doctor hopping". He said he did not need to discuss with me why he was refusing to treat her. When I could not get my infant children into him (years ago), his staff would put me with the nurse practitioner or the other doctor sharing the office. Now those nurses, nurse practitioner and doctor have went to another place. I wonder why!!! How unprofessional, heartless and sad to not treat a innocent child. We have paid our bills in full. He went on to ask who the rest of the family was being treated by which is irrelevant. I guess he was upset because we have seen the other doctor and the nurse practitioner (who once shared the office). His office returned my call promptly and booked an appointment. I left work, took my child out of school and drove 50 miles round trip waited 1 1/2 hours to be refused. I took her back to school untreated for a rash that was spreading on her eyelid. Simply pathetic and so sad. I thought doctors helped the sick not turn their back on them. We have never spoken bad to him or his staff. What a shame! Later that afternoon, I took another appointment with a doctor's office, drove another 50 mile round-trip and left work again (which cost me a whole day at work). How tactless to make the appointment & be turned away!! It doesn't take much of a man to do this!
