Dr. Johnson is the most humane psychiatrist I've ever seen. He is highly qualified while being warm and approachable. I give him my highest recommendation.

HORRIBLE experience with this prick!!! Domiant God complex- ego maniac. I was a referrral from another clinic (of which the doctor I was seeing, Dr. Kavany, retired) and he made my short time with him hell. He apparently read my chart yet expressed suprise at my medical and medication history. He flat out told me one of my diagnosis was "all in my head" and refused previous effective treatments. Instead he micro-managed my illness, prescribed a medictaion I told him I had a bad reaction to in the past which led me to believe he a.)either hadn't listened to me or b.) didn't care.
When I told him a second time why I did not want to go on this medication, he prescibed another drug but of the same class. I started having shortness of breath and tachycardia after a few days. My boyfriend became scared and took me to the nearest ER. It was concluded my adverse reaction was-in fact- an allergic reaction. The hospital faxed all of this to Dr. Johnson and upon his next visit, the first thing I asked was ,"So, I guess this class of drugs is out indefinitely." to which he replied ,"Why do you say that?" When I told him, "Well, I almost DIED in the ER he looked at me incredulously. I reiterated what I ahd just said and asked, dumbfounded, "Didn't you read my encounter notes faxed from the ER?" He said he never recieved any notes on me from any emergency room visits. Well, I later learned this was another LIE as I had the records department provide me a copy to which I personally faxed to his direct line and recieved confirmation of fax. He STILL "failed" to receive documentation and wanted to keep me on the drug that almost killed me!!!
This was the last straw. I left and never saw him again. I was without medical care for a few months as I had to wait for insurance to cross over to a new provider and the intake to refer to yet anohter doctor was held up an additional two months but that wait was nothing compared to the mis-treatment received by this ego-maniac who almost KILLED me and couldn't care less!!! I even caught him dozing off during one of our visits!!!! Dr. David Johnson is a cad and a fraud. He should have charges brought against him for malpractice and his liscence stripped. A child does a better job at physchiatry than this inexcusable waste of oxygen
