Conditions we treat include, but are not limited to, temporomandibular disorders (TMD, or "TMJ"), jaw muscle pain and headaches, jaw joint disc displacements, clicking and locking, neuropathic oral pain and unresolved toothache, burning mouth syndrome, taste complaints, mouth sores and ulcers, including canker sores and lichen planus, and dry mouth (xerostomia). We fabricate mandibular advancement devices for the treatment of medically-diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea, and we perform oral cancer exams.
Treatment is based on a medical model of stepped care and is conservative and reversible. Therapy does not begin without a carefully considered diagnosis, which is based foremost on a thorough history and exam. We take the time to listen to our patients.
