Unlike my previous/long-time dentist, I actually look forward to going to see my dentist and the hygienist who take care of my teeth. I have had mouth trauma and insensitive dentists in the past and do not relish the idea of anyone poking or prodding things in my mouth. Dr. Cloyd and the hygienist that I typically see (Carolyn) are so kind and gentle while still doing anything that needs to be done. Whenever I arrive for my appointments, the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. For nearly the past 10 years, Dr. Cloyd and his staff have been caring for the dental needs of my husband and I and have always been very friendly with our two children when I needed to bring them with me for my cleanings. We used to take our kids to Children's Dental Center of York but recently need to reduce cost of their dental care. So, they just had their first exams with Dr. Cloyd in January. Both of my kids (ages 13 and 11) were very comfortable with the change and are happy to go back to him in another 6 months. They especially loved Carolyn who was very kind and caring with them both which is her usual demeanor anyway :)

I went to Queensgate as a random stab in the dark at finding a new dentist. I was a little worried because at the time the only review I found said that the staff was rude. That is far from true. My baby sitter fell through the night before and I had to take my 4 month old along. They were so understanding and one of the hygienists took care of her while my teeth were being cleaned. I felt awful about it going in but when I left they had put me to ease about the whole thing. However I wasn't too happy with the cleaning. It was the fastest one I ever had and my teeth still felt dirty when I left. I assumed it was because of the baby, but I asked my husband about his cleaning and he felt the same way. Also our previous dentist had given us both things to keep an eye on. When I asked about the de-calcification on my molar I was told it was just yellowing. Also the whole time my teeth were being cleaned the hygienist was telling me how good my teeth looked and how little build up I had but later I found out there were 4 cavities that need filled. After our appointments I asked my husband about his without telling him how I felt and his conclusions were the same as mine. We didn't feel comfortable enough with the quality of work to go back, however their customer service was outstanding.
