In my general dentistry experiences over a 20 yr. period I found the overall level of service and professionalism to be 'as good as it gets'. When it comes to more extensive and intensive dental work like crowns and implants I always find it necessary to ask what's involved and how long the overall processes will take. Loosing teeth and having replacements installed is a huge deal to me and I have found myself mildly frustrated that I have to ask for something that is so important to me and I'd think, to any other patient. This practice does not honor any insurance plan and charges more than the 'reasonable and customary' fees set by insurance companies. That said, Dr. Mathews is a highly skilled dentist who makes it a point to keep up to date on the most current medical practices and technologies.

I would not recommend this dentist...mainly because the office seemed interested and very helpful until any discussion was made re payment options. As soon as they discovered I was not independently wealthy and would have to find a payment plan, I was practically ignored--treated very rudely.

when i sought treatment elsewhere, i was told the very recommendations Dr. matthews made would have damaged my teeth and provoked additional problems. Glad i did not in the end use their services.
