About

Melzar Richards, DDS

Our dental practice, through several transitions and continual growth, has served patients of all ages in the Ithaca community for over forty years. We are a general dentistry practice with a dedicated staff, an excellent team of dental hygienists and an emphasis on preventive dental care. A visit to the dentist is no longer just about checking for cavities. There have been incredible advances in the field of dentistry and we have responded by perpetually expanding our range of services. As a general dental practice we perform most phases of dentistry. In the current environment of ever accelerating advances in dental technology and techniques, it is our intention that our patients will have the best treatment outcomes that are available. We regularly attend continuing education programs, provide digital radiography, soft tissue laser treatment when required, teeth whitening, Invisalign treatment, cosmetic procedures and restoration of surgeon placed implants. It has been our practice to stay abreast of new technologies but integrate them into our practice only when they have proven to be successful over time. We recognize that no dentist should try to be all things to every patient; therefore, we try to focus on those procedures that we do best and maintain excellent working relationships with all the local specialists. When we feel their expertise will provide the greatest likelihood of long term success we do not hesitate to refer and will make all the necessary arrangements. As a professional practice our only form of advertisement has been through the recommendations and referrals from satisfied patients. This has been our source of growth for several decades and ensures that we strive to provide superior care and excellent service at a reasonable price. Our desire is that your experience with us from first phone call to final checkout be smooth, enjoyable and stress free. For more information or to make an appointment, please call us today.

The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I thought the staff was amazing; they were so friendly and helpful, and made sure I felt welcome there. I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them.
