You will wait a long time, and deal with many hurdles

Expect to wait 40-70 minutes past your appointment time, sometimes seeing later arriving patients go in first.

Long-time patient who has gotten fed up with no emergency visit openings, staff attitudes and waiting over an hour. Asking how long the delay is won't get an honest answer, and booking first appointment doesn't help either.

Good surgeon but there are equal or better without the hassle.

Upon arriving for a per-surgery exam (dentist recommended I have my wisdom teeth removed), I asked the receptionist to confirm that they accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ. They did not, but she said they could probably use my dental insurance instead. I asked whether I would need to confirm that with the insurance company, or if she could check, and she said the doctor would need to take X-Rays to determine if it was covered by dental insurance. I told her I was concerned that if it was not covered, I would then be left with an expensive X-Ray bill to pay out of pocket. She told me that was my problem. I asked if the doctor could determine coverage based on the digital X-Rays taken the day before by my dentist (who sent me to the surgeon), and she very condescendingly explained that dental x-rays were just for seeing cavities. I tried to work with her (I've never experienced someone this rude or dismissive) because I genuinely just wanted to be sure I was covered before I let them take X-Rays, but the receptionist only became more rude. In the end she said there was no way for them to determine whether I was covered without first taking x-rays. Speechless, I left. As I walked out she yelled "Have a nice life". I've never written an online review in my life, but I felt I needed to share this. Hoping to save the next person from this experience.
