I saw Doctor Albin for my wisdom teeth extraction. He was absolutely fabulous. He was professional and listened to all of my concerns and answered my questions fully and honestly. I was told that because of my age that my bottom wisdom teeth needed to come out now if I ever wanted them out. I was going to face about a 10% chance that some part of my face would be permanently numb. He reassured me if I did not want that to happen now was the time to act. I'm glad I did, about ten hours after the surgery I had full feeling back in my face. There were no issues and then Doctor Albin himself called me to make sure I was doing ok. I have never experienced such caring from a Doctor before. His staff in Somerville however I was not so thrilled with. Two nurses in particular tried to make me feel like absolute garbage. One kept giving me a look because I can not swallow pills. I realize I am 25 but I know I am not alone in this. And the Doctor himself said it was NOT A PROBLEM. She tried stating that she had to call around to pharmacy's to see who would have a liquid pain medication in stock. I reassured her that my local CVS would. I would know because I used to work there as a Certified Pharmacy Tech. And I called ahead of time to make sure they would have the medication in stock. She kept giving me condescending looks and asked me in front of my mother "You do know it's all in your head? And at you're age you really need to get over it." I HAVE NEVER experienced such unprofessional behavior in my life. I am currently in school to become a Nurse and I will NEVER treat a patient like this. Needless to say because I could not talk my mother did the talking for me and we left as soon as the other Nurse okay'd us.
