I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST. I went to him 3 years ago for a cleaning after finding him on Yelp. I was soon to lose my dental insurance and, upon hearing that information, he pressured me to change out my childhood metal fillings by saying (I paraphrase) "They're old, they should be changed. The last thing you want is for them to become damaged and you not have dental insurance to handle the cost." Nothing was wrong with them. But, out of the fear he instilled in me, I allowed him to replace the fillings. All at once. To meet the dental coverage deadline. He replaced the fillings, and completely changed the bite of my mouth. I literally could not bite on my right side, and he told me that it -- and the accompanying sensitivity that I NEVER experienced before his treatment -- would go away. When, after a few days of being UNABLE TO CHEW I went back to insist the something be done, he did a contact paper test and said that I was wrong! That everything was fine. I told the man, "I CANNOT BITE DOWN." He acquiesced and he randomly drilled. That didn't fix it. I went back 3 times, having to identify for myself what was wrong and insist that he fix the tooth so that I could bite down. I vowed never to return. Flash forward 3 years later, my teeth are still sensitive. I was still unable to use my molar on the right side with confidence, avoiding my right side when chewing crunchy things. Turns out there was an even worse problem brewing. When he filled my right upper molar, he exposed the nerve -- something my current dentist discovered when he excavated the tooth. That's why I couldn't chew crunchy things. And over 3 years of being exposed under the filling, my nerve died, necessitating a root canal. I have had IMPECCABLE dental hygiene as an adult. And now I've lost a TOOTH because of Dr. Lee Sang Y DDS, and his decision to make money at my expense. Please do not go to this dentist. He will not care for you.
