All was really good until the Dr. noticed a crack in my crown after the timeframe in which the lab would have replaced it at no charge. I noticed something wrong the very first day when I got home after the crown was put on, but didn't say anything in subsequent visits thinking/trusting in his expertise to spot things like that with those big magnifying glasses and all. That was a big mistake on my part. He tried to blame the crack on my not having ordered a mouth guard early. Well, this crown is on my front top tooth and my top and bottom teeth don't even touch in the front so a mouth guard would not have prevented it at all. The way my mouth is, it's impossible. So, I have a hair-line crack in my crown which seems to be holding up, but I have not been back. He did not offer to make it right or even make a partial deal since it's really my word against his. But, I believe the crown cracked the day it was put on. He didn't detect it and I didn't say anything because I trusted that surely he would have noticed something wrong if anything was wrong after all that time, but he didn't until it wasn't covered anymore (covered for 5 years and he noticed it in the 6th year). So, did he want to make some extra money from me paying full price for a new one? I don't know and again, I have not been back. Sorely disappointed.
