Education Dr. Tidstrom received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1982. He practiced general dentistry with his father, Fred Tidstrom, in Ashland, Wisconsin from 1982-1985. Dr. Tidstrom completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in 1989. Upon completion of his residency, he joined Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Consultants.

Training Dr. Tidstrom is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and enjoys the full scope of oral surgery. Reconstructive orthognathic jaw surgery is a particular interest to Dr. Tidstrom. He is also an adjunct Professor at the University of MN, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
