Bring your checkbook! I was an existing patient, and even though my insurance gives me 2 exams per year, Dr. Lee Meyers wanted to charge me $200 for my second yearly exam. When I explained to him that Aetna Dental pays for 2 exams per year, and I only made an appointment for an exam, I was told "Oh, don't worry. Since you have insurance, you only need to pay $53 for the 'consultation'." Then he sent my account to collections because I would not pay for a consultation when my insurance covered the exam, and I only made an appointment for an exam.

There is lots of new equipment in his office to pay for!
